A introduction for anyone who loves coffee and wants to learn about the basics of brewing great coffee at home. We’ll talk about the different methods of brewing, focusing on pourover (Chemex, V60). Beginning with how to select coffees; from the importance of origin to why roast date is important. We’ll also discuss variables of brewing- what to change and why. Guided tastings of coffee will help solidify brewing principles for crafting amazing cups of coffee. Topics of focus include: brewing methods, grinding, water quality, technique, theory, variable control, and tasting.
